(Indonesia)- IAIN Kediri bertandang ke Konsulat Jenderal Republik Indonesia (KJRI) di Johor Bahru Malaysia pada Kamis (20/07/2023) pagi. Rombongan civitas akademika IAIN Kediri disambut hangat oleh Pelaksana Fungsi Penerangan Sosial Budaya (Pensosbud) KJRI Johor Bahru, Mohamad Rizali Noor.
Wakil Rektor 1, Ahmad Subakir, yang turut hadir menyampaikan bahwa kunjungan ini merupakan salah satu tahap untuk mencapai visi IAIN Kediri yang berfokus pada pencapaian nilai unggul bertaraf internasional.
Untuk mewujudkan visi ini, IAIN Kediri terus berkolaborasi dengan berbagai pihak di kancah internasional. Setelah sebelumnya bersepakat dengan dua perguruan tinggi di Malaysia yakni Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) dan Universiti Islam Selangor (UIS), kini pihaknya menyasar kolaborasi pendidikan dan pengabdian dengan KJRI Johor Bahru.
Inisiasi ini disambut baik oleh pihak KJRI Johor Bahru. Dalam paparannya, Pensosbud KJRI Johor Bahru, Rizali, menyampaikan beberapa macam program pengabdian masyarakat yang dapat digagas oleh perguruan tinggi sebagai salah satu solusi penyelesaian permasalahan Warga Negara Indonesia (WNI) di Malaysia. Beberapa di antaranya adalah program praktik mengajar di Indonesia Community Center (ICC) Pusat Kegiatan Belajar Masyarakat (PKBM) serta edukasi Pekerja Migran Indonesia (PMI).
Selama ini, pihak KJRI juga telah melaksanakan kegiatan pendidikan sebagai upaya perlindungan. Kegiatan pendidikan ini direalisasikan dalam bentuk Sekolah Indonesia Johor Bahru (SIJB). SIJB merupakan salah satu bentuk perlindungan bagi anak-anak PMI mengingat banyak dari mereka yang tidak dapat bersekolah di sekolah negeri di Malaysia.
Pihak KJRI Johor Bahru menilai bahwa dengan adanya kerja sama yang tercipta dengan IAIN Kediri, maka kedepannya akan dapat dilakukan pendampingan pendidikan pada PMI di wilayah Johor Bahru dan sekitarnya. Dalam ranah keberlanjutan pendidikan, upaya kerja sama ini dapat diwujudkan dengan pemberian beasiswa bagi para alumni SIJB untuk melanjutkan pendidikan tinggi di IAIN Kediri.
Bersamaan dengan penyambutan pengabdian internasional ini, KJRI Johor Bahru tengah mengadakan gemar salam untuk menyemarakan tahun baru Islam. Sebagai salam perkenalan mahasiswa ikut serta dalam acara tersebut. Mahasiswa Tarbiyah IAIN Kediri memandu acara tersebut. Dalam kesempatan tersebut, Prof. Dr. Hj. Munifah, M.Pd selaku dekan fakultas tarbiyah juga turut menyampaikan materi terkait tahun baru hijriyah kepada para siswa di SI Johor Bahru. Beliau menyampaikan materi terkait asal-usul nama hijriyah dalam penyebutan tahun Islam. Para siswa SI Johor ahru sangat antusias mengikuti pelajaran yang beliau sampaikan. Materi tersebut dilanjutkan oleh para mahasiswa Tarbiyah IAIN Kediri yang melakukan pengabdian internasional di SI Johor Bahru. Kehadiran para mahasiswa Tarbiyah IAIN Kediri yang melakukan pengabdian internasional di SI Johor Bahru ini memberikan suasana baru bagi para siswa. Diharapkan pengabdian internasional ini dapat memberi pengalaman bagi para mahasiswa untuk mengeksplorasi budaya pendidikan di negara lain.
The Consulate General of Republic of Indonesia in Johor Bahru Welcomes the Community service of Tarbiyah Faculty, IAIN Kediri
(English) – IAIN Kediri visited the Consulate General of the Republic of Indonesia (KJRI) in Johor Bahru Malaysia on Thursday (20/07/2023) morning. The academic community of IAIN Kediri was warmly welcomed by the Executive of the Social and Cultural Information Function (Pensosbud) of the Indonesian Consulate General in Johor Bahru, Mohamad Rizali Noor.
Vice Rector 1, Ahmad Subakir, who was also present, said that this visit was one of the stages in achieving the vision of IAIN Kediri which focuses on achieving superior international standard values.
To realize this vision, IAIN Kediri continues to collaborate with various parties on the international stage. After previously agreeing with two universities in Malaysia, namely Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) and Universiti Islam Selangor (UIS), now the party is targeting educational and service collaboration with the Indonesian Consulate General in Johor Bahru.
This initiative was welcomed by the Indonesian Consulate General in Johor Bahru. In his presentation, the Minister of Social and Culture of the Indonesian Consulate General in Johor Bahru, Rizali conveyed several types of community service programs that could be initiated by universities as a solution to solving the problems of Indonesian citizens (WNI) in Malaysia. Some of these are teaching practice programs at the Indonesia Community Center (ICC), Community Learning Activity Center (PKBM) and education for Indonesian Migrant Workers (PMI).
So far, the Indonesian Consulate General has also carried out educational activities as a means of protection. This educational activity was realized in the form of the Johor Bahru Indonesian School (SIJB). SIJB is a form of protection for PMI children considering that many of them cannot attend state schools in Malaysia.
The Indonesian Consulate General in Johor Bahru considers that with the collaboration created with IAIN Kediri, in the future it will be possible to provide educational assistance to PMI in the Johor Bahru area and its surroundings. In the realm of educational sustainability, this collaborative effort can be realized by providing scholarships for SIJB alumni to continue their higher education at IAIN Kediri.
Simultaneously with the welcoming of this international dedication, the Indonesian Consulate General in Johor Bahru is holding a greeting celebration to celebrate the Islamic New Year. As an introduction, the students participated in the event. Tarbiyah students from IAIN Kediri guided the event. On this occasion, Prof. Dr. Hj. Munifah, M.Pd as the dean of the tarbiyah faculty also delivered material related to the new Hijriyah year to students at SI Johor Bahru. He delivered material related to the origins of hijriyah names in mentioning Islamic years. The SI Johor Ahru students were very enthusiastic about the lessons he delivered. The material was continued by Tarbiyah students from IAIN Kediri who were doing international service at SI Johor Bahru. The presence of Tarbiyah students from IAIN Kediri who are doing international service at SI Johor Bahru provides a new atmosphere for the students. It is hoped that this international service can provide experience for students to explore the culture of education in other countries.
