(Indonesia)- Sebanyak 6 mahasiswa dan beberapa dosen Fakultas Tarbiyah Institut Agama Islam Negeri (IAIN) Kediri melakukan kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat internasional di Sanggar Bimbingan Sungai Bulloh, Selangor Malaysia.
Kegiatan tersebut merupakan bagian dari program strategis kampus untuk menambah pengalaman dan memperluas manfaat kepada masyarakat global.
Wakil Rektor Bidang Kemahasiswaan dan Kerjasama IAIN Kediri, M. Dimyati Huda mengatakan kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat internasional ini selain sebagai bentuk komitmen peningkatan pelaksaanaan tridharma perguruan tinggi, juga sebagai sarana mempercepat tahap internasionalisasi IAIN Kediri.
“Menyongsong transformasi menjadi UIN, kami sedang melakukan akselerasi internasionalisasi. Ini tahap pertama, alhamdulillah berjalan sukses. Ke depan tidak hanya di Asia Tenggara, mungkin bisa diperluas ke Asia Timur atau Eropa,” terangnya saat mendampingi mahasiswa di Kuala Lumpur, Senin,(18/7/2023).
Ia menambahkan mahasiswa perlu meningkatkan kompetensi bukan hanya yang berkaitan dengan program studi, namun juga kemampuan bahasa asing. Tanpa hal tersebut, sambungnya, sulit untuk bersaing di kancah dunia.
“Minimal menguasai salah satunya, arab, inggris atau mandarin. Ini kami tekankan betul supaya juga lebih banyak lagi program studi yang terakreditasi unggul,” jelasnya.
Prof. Dr. Hj. Munifah, M.Pd selaku Dekan Fakultas Tarbiyah IAIN Kediri menambahkan, selain sebagai sarana melengkapi peran mahasiswa sebagai seorang pengabdi program ini digalakkan sebagai sarana menyongsong kenaikan akreditasi program studi.
“Kami sedang menyiapkan program studi kami untuk terkreditasi unggul,” pungkasnya.
Turut mendampingi kegiatan ini, sejumlah dosen, pimpinan dan pengelola International Office and Partnership (IOP) sebagai leading sector.
Practicing Tridharma in Higher Education, PAI Delegates Students to International Service
(English)- As many as 6 students and several lecturers from the Tarbiyah Faculty of the State Islamic Institute of Kediri (IAIN) Kediri carried out international community service activities at the Sungai Bulloh Guidance Center, Selangor Malaysia.
This activity is part of the campus’ strategic program to add experience and expand benefits to the global community.
Vice rector for Student Affairs and Cooperation at IAIN Kediri, M. Dimyati Huda said this international community service activity was not only a form of commitment to improving the implementation of the Tridharma of Higher Education, but also a means of accelerating the internationalization stage of IAIN Kediri.
“Welcoming the transformation into UIN, we are accelerating internationalization. This is the first stage, thank God, it was successful. In the future, not only in Southeast Asia, maybe it can be expanded to East Asia or Europe,” he explained when accompanying students in Kuala Lumpur, Monday (18/7/2023).
He added that students need to improve competence not only related to study programs, but also foreign language skills. Without this, he continued, it would be difficult to compete on the world stage.
“At least master one of them, Arabic, English or Mandarin. We really emphasize this so that there are more study programs that are accredited superior,” he explained.
Prof. Dr. Hj. Munifah, M.Pd as the Dean of the Faculty of Tarbiyah IAIN Kediri added, apart from being a means of completing the role of students as service providers, this program was encouraged as a means of welcoming the increase in study program accreditation.
“We are preparing our study program for superior accreditation,” he concluded.
Accompanying this activity were a number of lecturers, leaders and managers of the International Office and Partnership (IOP) as the leading sector.
